Lucas Herbert was born on 5 December 1995 in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. During his early years, Lucas played junior golf at Neangar Park Golf Club and Commonwealth Golf Club.

During his amateur career, he lost the 2013 PGA Tour of Australasia event. His team tied for the 6th place at the 2014 Eisenhower Trophy, and he got tied for the second position as an individual.

Professional Career

Lucas Herbert began his professional career in late 2015 and played mainly at the  PGA Tour of Australasia events. He was a runner-up at the Isuzu Queensland Open in 2016. Herbert was again a runner-up the following year at the New South Wales Open.

Herbert began playing in the European Tour in 2018 and finished that year being in the world’s Top-100 golfer list. He became the runner-up at the  Portugal Masters event and had three Top-3 finishes. He qualified for the 2018 Open Championship and the 2018 U.S. Open for good performances.
